Specialist  Application

Specialists are at least 21 years old.  The Specialist position works in the Day Camp program from 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Duties include:

  • Teach specialty, subject-based classes for each Day Camp cohort (up to 8 total cohorts of campers in grades 1st-5th, up to 4 cohorts daily).  Specialists will teach the same subject throughout a session.

  • Creation, implementation, and oversight of their class curriculum and lesson plans

  • Provide materials lists to camp directors

  • Manage materials for their specialty activities

  • Daily Setup and breakdown of class activities

  • Enforce health and safety protocols within their activities and spaces

  • Maintain appropriate distance from campers and staff within activity areas

 

Group Leader  Application

Group Leaders are at least 19 years old.  The Group Leader position works in the Day Camp program from 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Duties include:

  • Primary leader of a camper cohort during a session

  • Travel with their camper cohort throughout the day from activity to activity

  • Assist Specialists with execution of specialty activities

  • Lead and plan home base/homeroom time and activities

  • Manage their cohort’s day to day schedule

  • Supervise lunch, recess, and breaks with their cohort

  • Enforce health and safety protocols within their cohort

  • Manage AM and PM carpool for their cohort

  • Set tone for class norms, rules, and expectations

  • Create and foster a sense of community and cohort cohesiveness

  • Make each camper feel welcome, comfortable, and known

 

Junior Day Teacher  Application

Junior Day Teachers are at least 21 years old.  The Junior Day Teacher position works in the Junior Day program from 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Duties include:

  • Primary leader of a Junior Day camper cohort during a session

  • Creation, implementation, and oversight of their class curriculum and lesson plans

  • Supervise lunch and recess with their cohort

  • Enforce health and safety protocols within their cohort

  • Manage counselor assigned to their cohort

  • Manage AM and PM carpool for their cohort

  • Set tone for class norms, rules, and expectations

  • Create and foster a sense of community and cohort cohesiveness

  • Make each camper feel welcome, comfortable, and known

 

Counselor  Application

Counselors are at least 15 years old and have completed 10th grade.  The Counselor position works in the either the Day Camp or Junior Day program from 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Duties include:

  • Travel with assigned camper cohort throughout the day from activity to activity

  • Assist Group Leader, Teacher, and Specialists in all areas and activities

  • Assist with enforcement of health and safety protocols within their cohort

  • Assist with lunch, recess, and breaks for their cohort

  • Assist with AM and PM carpool for their cohort

  • Maintain high energy, exhibit emotional maturity, and sound judgement

  • Create and foster a sense of community and cohort cohesiveness

  • Make sure each camper feels welcome, comfortable, and known
