Counselor-Jr Day  -   counselor-Day camp   -    Adventure Camp       CITs   -   after Care

Junior Day Teachers are at least 21 years old. The Junior Day Teacher position works in the Junior Day program with campers age 3.5 to 5 years old from 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
​
Duties include:
  • Primary leader of a Junior Day camper class during a session.
  • Creation, implementation, and oversight of their class curriculum and lesson plans.
  • Supervise lunch and recess with their class.
  • Manage counselor(s) assigned to their class.
  • Manage AM and PM carpool.
  • Set tone for class norms, rules, and expectations.
  • Create and foster a sense of community and cohort cohesiveness.
  • Make each camper feel welcome, comfortable, and known.

Day camp Specialist

Specialists are at least 21 years old. The Specialist position works in the Day Camp Program with campers in 1st to 5th grade from 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Duties may include:
  • Teach specialty, subject-based activities periods for each Day Camp class. 
  • Creation, implementation, and oversight of their class curriculum and lesson plans.
  • Manage materials for their specialty activities.
  • Daily set-up and breakdown of class activities.
  • Supervise lunch, recess, or carpool. 
  • Make each camper feel welcome, comfortable, and known.

Counselor - Junior Day

Junior Day Counselors are at least 15 years old and have completed 10th grade.  The Junior Day Counselor position works in the structured, nurturing  Junior Day Program with campers age 3.5 to 5 years old from 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Duties and Qualifications include:
  • Enjoy working with children.
  • Responsible, positive, and able to follow camp policies.
  • Assist Junior Day Teachers with execution of daily activities.
  • Supervise campers during class activities, lunch, recess, and transitions.
  • Assist with program materials setup, cleanup, and AM and PM carpool.
  • Support a welcoming and inclusive environment, making sure each camper feels comfortable and known.

Counselor - Day Camp/MS

Counselors are at least 15 years old and have completed 10th grade.  The Counselor position works in the either the Day Camp or Middle School Academy Programs with campers in 1st to 8th grade from 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Duties include:
  • Maintain high energy, exhibit emotional maturity, and sound judgement.
  • Assist Specialists with execution of class activities.
  • Assist with camper supervision during class activities, lunch, and/or recess.
  • Assist with program materials and setup.
  • Assist with AM and PM carpool.
  • Make sure each camper feels welcome, comfortable, and known.

Day camp Group coordinator

Group Coordinators are at least 21 years old.  The Group Coordinator position works in the Day Camp program 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Duties may include:
  • Point of contact for cohorts of Day Camp Counselors and campers.
  • Assist Directors in managing program flow and materials for Day Camp classes.
  • Support Counselors and Specialists in fostering camper well-being
  • Guide Counselors and campers by setting tone for camp rules and expectations.
  • Help to manage AM and PM carpool.
  • Create and foster a sense of community and cohort cohesiveness.
  • Make each camper feel welcome, comfortable, and known.

Adventure Camp
Pod Leaders and Counselors

2026 applications open jan.15

Adventure Camp Pod Instructors are at least 22 years old and lead a pod of 12 Adventure campers on daily excursions leading various outdoor recreational activities. Adventure Counselors are at least 18 years old and assist the Pod Instructors and accompany the pod of Adventure campers on daily excursions.
​
Duties include:
  • Adventure Pod Instructors will drive a 14-passenger bus to daily excursion locations.
  • Pod Instructors must have experience in outdoor recreational activities/outdoor education.
  • Outdoor recreational experience is preferred for Counselors.

Counselor-in-training (CITS)
2026 applications open Jan.15

CITs are at least 14 years old and have completed 9th grade. The CIT position is a volunteer position, providing assistance to the Day Camp, Junior Day, or Middle School Academy programs 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
​
Duties include:
  • Volunteer position. Eligible for SSL hours if pre-approval acquired from CIT's school.
  • Assist and Specialists and Counselors in camp classes.
  • Assist in multiple classes or programs each session.
  • Maintain high energy, exhibit emotional maturity, and sound judgement.
  • Make sure each camper feels welcome, comfortable, and known.

After care 
2026 applications open Jan.15

After Care employees are Group Coordinators, Specialists and Counselors working during the summer. After Care runs 3:00 -5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. You can indicate After Care availability within your employment application. 
​
After Care includes:
  • Supervising campers in a variety of fun activities.
  • Flexible schedule throughout each session.
  • Assist with camper pick-up
  • Make sure each camper feels welcome, comfortable, and known.
